8 Fashion shows ( Nick Graham, Dim Mak, Garcia Velez, Nautica, Kenneth Ning, Loris Diran, Stampd and Willy Chavarria. ) Men's fashion week in New York happened from January 30th - Feb 2nd 2017 Here's the breakdown of the designer's shows and collections I felt blessed to witness. : Nick Graham's Fashion Show : Imagine what it would look like to look fashionable in space, what would it look like? I see shiny, polished, structured and intergalactically textured pieces, much like the details seen in his designs. The collection was inspired by astronaut Buzz Aldrin's space suits, so much that he even had Aldrin himself walking in the show. What a fashionable honor! : Dim Mak's Fashion Show : Steve Aoki, the designer behind Dim Mak, is a multi-faceted creative being. Aside from working on designing his collection, he keeps busy perfecting his craft as a house musician, record producer, and music executive, touring all over the world playing his records. It's no wonder this fashion show was full of life and high energy as the models skated on down the runway in Dim Mak's pieces, with a live band playing on one end of the platform fit for the skateboard culture. : Garcia Velez's Fashion Show Presentation : The designer is an architect and a lecturer. His collection is full of functional pieces with unique geometric lines and construction elements. DAY 2: Feb 1, 2017: Backstage at Kenneth Ning's Fashion Show : With his fw17 collection Kenneth Ning showed us new ways to style the classic 'Glen Plaid' print by infusing some pops of yellow color to awaken the style's appeal. : Nautica's Fashion Show : Nautica's ode to its 90s hit styles made this collection feel so nostalgic of the good ole days. The vibes of the show was so on point, while the DJ spun music by Ma$e and hit artists of the 90s and that I found my self rapping, singing and dancing along while admiring the collections. You had me vibing hard Nautica. Thank you! : Loris Diran's Fashion Show : I loved the minimalistic aesthetics of this collection. It's modern and clean with some doses of swag all over it! : Stampd's Fashion Show : The designer, Chris Stamp, named this collection Asphalt Wave with inspirations derived from the streets. You'll notice elements of that with splashes of bright yellow and rich neutral red brick colors and some graffiti like splotched patterns on some pieces. : Willy Chavarria's Fashion Show Presentation: The designer political statements with his presentation and it spoke volumes.
